Upon successful completion of training 840+ youth from the merged areas in digital skills under its initiative, Employable Digital Skills for the youth of Merged Areas, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board has organized Certificate Distribution Ceremony. The event marks the successful completion of the initiative with a determination to include these youth in the mainstream of the province’s Digital Economy. KPITB believes in Digital Inclusion and under this vision, KPITB is launching, “Khuddar: Employable Digital Skills for PWDs”. Under this initiative a total of 800 PWDs from the province will be trained in various in-demand skills, that will help them earn their bread and butter from the comfort of their homes.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) in collaboration with NADRA is establishing 7 Citizens Facilitation centers (CFCs) at District Head Quarters with the aim of provision of all the government services under one roof. CFC centers will initially facilitate the citizens with 19 services which will be extended very soon. CFC centers will provide convenience to citizens by eliminating multiple visits to different departments. The centers will be well furnished, neat & clean environment to ensure transparency & accountability and will treat the citizens with dignity. Performance monitoring of CFCs will be tracked by the honorable Chief Minister for ensuring timely service delivery. The project will be further extended to other districts in phase two.
In accordance with the Prime Minister’s vision of Digital Pakistan, MOU is signed between KPITB and NADRA for the establishment of Citizen Facilitation Centers(CFC). KPITB will establish centers on divisional Headquarters to facilitate the citizens and set a standardized foundation for transparency, efficiency and corruption-free quality service delivery. Citizen Facilitation Centers envision the digital transformation to improve the citizens' quality of life and economic well-being by ensuring the availability of modern, affordable, and reliable digital services.
CFC’s mandate is the availability of public-facing services under one roof through one window platform. It makes sure enhanced public service delivery by inculcating innovative solutions. The citizens will be empowered with the authority to check their requested service status and lodge complaints accordingly. The performance will be monitored through a centralized dashboard reporting platform for the honorable Chief Minister, Ministers, and Executives. Through these centers, the service delivery is enhanced and accelerated with convenience. The online provision of services through CFC not only extends the provision of services to unserved people but also eliminates multiple visits to departments.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science and Information Technology Zia Ullah Khan Bangash had a video link meeting with Facebook officials Sarim Aziz Head of Public Policy South Asia and Sehar Tariq Public Policy Manager Pakistan. Issues of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Zia Ullah Bangash assured necessary legislation to create a favorable environment for the commencement of Facebook Monetization. Consultation and consideration of necessary legislation to turn on Facebook monetization in Pakistan were also discussed in the meeting. Mr. Asad Qaiser requested Facebook officials to enable the Pakistani youth to exercise their creativity by creating quality content and earn financial benefits.
First KP Crypto Advisory Committee Meeting held under the Chairmanship of Zia Ullah Bangash at KPITB Peshawar.
The first meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Crypto Advisory Committee chaired by Crypto Currency and Crypto Mining, Ziaullah Bangash, and Provincial Finance Minister Taimoor Jhagra.
In the first meeting of the Advisory Committee, it was decided that all committees will be formed to deal with various matters. BlockChain Committee was established in the sub-committees which included Ahmed, Atif, and Wajid while the chairman member of the provincial assembly.
The technical committee and coordination committee were set up in other committees. Coordination committee members will join the provincial assembly and technical members to discuss policy with steak holders, state banks, FBR, and other institutions.
Ziaullah Khan Bangash issued directions to Zelly committees to present their proposals at the next meeting of the Advisory Committee. He directed the technical committee to present a detailed report on the installation of hydropower including crypto mining forms including expenses.
Various technical members of the Advisory Committee also gave suggestions and legal opinions regarding crypto mining to the forum. The Advisory Committee was told that crypto mining should be done as a software deal, not as currency, and the procedure being implemented. The provincial government will have all the options in this.

Ziaullah Bangash has said that the provincial government is taking serious steps for crypto mining under the guidance and patronage of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and we will start crypto mining and blockchain according to legal procedures after consultation with all stakeholders and experts.

In the meeting, the Managing Director of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board, Sahibzada Ali Mahmood also recommended setting up a committee on BlockChain. In addition to the review of various technical matters, the use of this technology in various government departments under the scope of this committee. This will include reviewing all aspects and presenting recommendations regarding this.
Ziaullah Bangash said about crypto mining that the weather of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is useful for it, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has many hydropower capabilities and all these facilities are essential for crypto mining. While the provincial government is also taking steps for legislation and All experts can also give suggestions on the website of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board.
Ziaullah Bangash said that those who are interested in crypto mining should apply. He said that he will also hold a seminar on this topic very soon to raise awareness to the public.
Provincial Finance Minister Taimoor Saleem Jhagra said that we are also looking at the legality of crypto mining and the needs of other stakeholders like State Bank and FBR. And we will try to launch crypto-mining after completing all legal requirements. So that like other countries we can also take advantage of this opportunity.
Food Advisor Mian Khaliq-ur-Rehman said that we should also benefit from experiments from other countries and implement an easy and understanding system to guide industries and give people information about crypto mining through an awareness campaign.
KPITB has started training of 2 government schools of Khyber Tribal District on Early Age Programming and IT essentials.
The activity involved training students of 2 government schools of Khyber Tribal District on Early Age Programming and IT essentials. These schools are GHS Kohi Sher Haider and GHS Jan Khan Kili in Tehsil Bara of Khyber Tribal District. Under the project, 1000 students of 4 boys' and 4 girls' schools in Khyber and Orakzai tribal districts will be trained on EAP and IT essentials.
This will result in skill development and improvement in IT literacy of government school students and development of logical and analytical thinking among government school students. Under this project, eight state-of-the-art IT Labs have also been established in these schools.
